On Wednesday September 25^th, 2008, the Palestine Information & Communications Technology Incubator (PICTI) conducted a workshop in its premises in Al Bireh on the “Technology Business Plan Contest”. The contest is designed, launched, and implemented by PICTI and sponsored by Intel. Attendees from different organizations and companies interested in the Business Plan attended the workshop.

Mr. Hasan Omar, PICTI IT & Operations Manager started the workshop with an introduction on PICTI and its current projects, its role and efforts in advancing the Palestinian Community in the informatics sector through incubating projects, establishing new companies, creating job opportunities, conducting related workshops and Business Plan contest and how to apply for this contest. Mr. Omar explained the Business Plan components such as Applicant Information, Product/Service Description, Marketing Section, SWOT/Needs Analysis, Risks, Competitive Advantage, Intellectual Property, Teams, and Exit Strategy & Financials. Then he clarified how to fill the PICTI Business Plan Application Form. During the workshop Mr. Omar discussed and answered all questions raised by participants and it was agreed that special meetings will take place with the participants who have specific questions regarding their Business Plans.
